New Generation Crane Features

Amco has released 40 new models while phasing out several older models.  In most cases, the new models increase their capacities over the cranes they replaced.  Additionally, in the product’s reshuffling, several features that have existed previously or are now entirely new, have been incorporated into the new Next Generation cranes.  Below is a partial list of the standard and optional features available.

New Generation Negative Angle
Standard Features

  • Easy to remove hose covers.

  • Widest rotation angle in this class of medium cranes – 425 degrees.

  • Rubber hoses routed inside the column.

  • Double linkage – Constant capacity in all positions. The double linkage joins the articulation cylinder to the boom. Its design raises the mechanical advantage of the articulation, to provide consistent force through all working angles.

  • High Adaptation with negative angle – Negative angle between first and second boom produces the most versatile crane structure available. The result is working flexibility – easier access to confined and low ceiling spaces.

  • Molded Oil Tank

  • New boom shape.

  • Winch support on second boom (not available on compact cranes).

  • Hydro Control HC-D4 control valve with max 5,000 psi pressure and 21 gallons per minute oil flow.

  • Danfoss PVG32 control valve with max 5,000 psi pressure and 34 gallons per minute oil flow.

New Generation User Friendly Controls
Optional Features

  • Manual operation or radio remote controls.

  • Endless rotation for VR models.

  • Symmetric Main and Auxiliary Controls – Controls are cross-connected; the operator always has the same function on the same hand.

  • Stand Up Platform – Has a safety device that limits crane rotation with the operator is on the platform. The operator can run from a higher position.

  • Top Seat – rotates with the crane, available for both manual and radio-controlled cranes.

  • Oil Cooler integrated on the crane base – made by a large heat transfer surface plus an electric fan. Reduces oil temperature for longer hydraulics life and constant precision movements with a constant oil viscosity.

  • Crane Base with tilting support – Crane base made of two components with the possibility to follow the truck torsion.

  • Cylinder Rod Protection – applied to the second boom for safer extension.

  • LED working lights.

  • EES – Extra Extension Speed.

  • LAS – High lifting capacity thanks to LCS and linkage system LAS.

  • TCU – User-friendly Monitoring System.

  • Color Display – 7” display allows the operator to set all crane parameters.

  • Dynamic Load Diagram shows available outreach in specific stabilizing situations.
